Sermorelin
Also known as: GHRH 1-29, Sermorelin Acetate, GRF 1-29
Sermorelin is a biologically active fragment of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) that stimulates the pituitary gland to produce and secrete growth hormone (GH) in a pulsatile, physiologically natural manner. Unlike exogenous HGH injections, Sermorelin works upstream — coaxing the pituitary to release its own GH rather than replacing it externally. This approach preserves the natural feedback loop and avoids pituitary suppression.
Regulatory & Approval Status
Sermorelin is not currently FDA-approved for general use, though its API remains on Category 1 of the FDA's list, allowing for compounding by accredited 503A pharmacies for patient-specific prescriptions.
