Daily Briefing — 13 Updates Today
Thursday, October 15, 2026
The biggest story today is the growing regulatory split between anti-doping rules and U.S. compounding policy: WADA’s 2027 list maintains strict restrictions on several substances, while FDA advisory recommendations could eventually make a few peptides more accessible through compounding.
WADA’s 2027 update places non-approved substances under its S0 category, affecting items in today’s reports such as Melanotan II, PNC-27, PEG-MGF, oxytocin, Ovagen and NAD+. Separately, hexarelin and ipamorelin remain prohibited under the 2026 list, and BPC-157 remains prohibited under S0 while its compounding status faces continued FDA review. These updates concern athletic eligibility; they do not establish a substance’s safety or effectiveness.
On the compounding front, FDA advisory committees have recommended adding MOTS-c and KPV to the 503A bulk list, while GHK-Cu was among six peptides supported for eased regulation. These are recommendations, not final approvals, and safety and efficacy questions remain. WADA, meanwhile, says GLP-1 drugs such as tirzepatide remain off the 2027 prohibited list as it conducts further study.
