PNC-27

Also known as: PNC27, p53-Derived Peptide, Antitumor Peptide PNC-27

Immune Modulation
Preclinical

PNC-27 is an experimental anti-cancer peptide derived from the p53 tumor suppressor protein. It is designed to selectively target and kill cancer cells by exploiting the aberrant membrane expression of HDM-2 (the p53-binding protein) that is found on the surface of cancer cells but not normal cells. Research is entirely preclinical — no human trials completed.
